Make Plans for Mankato

In southern Minnesota you'll find Mankato, a charming city just an hour and half from Rochester, and just off the U.S. Route 14. As a member of Blue Earth, Nicollet, and Le Sueur counties, Mankato is the fourth largest city in the Minneaplois-St.Paul area. Guests of the Best Western hotel in Mankato will enjoy the close proximity to the Minnesota River, where you and the kids can do some boating, or try some to catch some Walleye Stamp. Another local park is the Minneopa State Park - if the Minnesota River is a bit too crowded, make this park a spot to visit. Purveyors of the arts will enjoy an evening with the Mankato Symphony Orchestra, led by Music Director Kenneth Freed. The Mankato Ballet will also provide a wonderful night on the town. Mankato isn't all fishing and orchestra's - be sure to visit the Renrd House and the Historic Old Town Makato district.
