Explore the museum of Swedish-American arts, culture and history. Founded in 1929 by Swedish immigrant newspaper publisher Swan Turnblad, the museum is housed within the 1904 former Turnblad mansion - a 33-room castle with turrets, gargoyles, hand carved woodwork, and 11 porcelain tile stoves from Sweden. Milwaukee Road employees referred to the Minnehaha Depot as the "Princess" because of its delicate gingerbread canopy.
